One of the most popular animated series and one of the most widely recognized brands in the world; Dragonball Z is the story of a Saiyan boy from outer space to destroy the planet earth, but as a young boy Goku fell into a ravine and badly injured his head a complete forgot about his mission. Several years later Goku, his son Gohan, and their friends and fellow Z Fighters Battle the evil's of the universe for the sake of good. Goku, our hero, grows up during the series, gets married and has children of his own; friendships develop, loyalties are tested, and some characters over time turn from their evil ways to become allies with the good guys.This saga is just the first in the long running Dragon Ball Z series. Following on from the arrival of Raditz, Goku comes up against more of his Saiya-jin brethren and even worse foes. From his humble beginnings, Goku begins to learn more and more of his past while continuing to grow ever stronger. Trouble always seems to find the light-hearted warrior as he comes up against the strongest opponents the universe has to offer; each time being able to surpass them in skill and power. Goku seems to gain more and more family and friends as the series progresses and comes to rely on these people in times of need. Throughout DBZ, the characters all grow and develop together, facing new challenges as a team. Friendships are formed between the unlikeliest of people and opponents are always in plentiful supply.
